Father/Son, Mother/Daughter

Last week, Neil and Max took a trip to Spokane all by themselves. As you can see, Max had a great time!
Here at home, the girls and I had a pretty good time too. Who doesn't love to eat ice cream wearing only a bib and sunglasses?

Happy St. Patrick's Day

Well, we don't really do anything to celebrate St. Patrick's Day...I even sent Max to school in nothing green at all!
But we hope you all have a nice holiday!
Here are some of our recent pictures.
We went up to Red Rock again, this time with our good friends the Salos. We ventured on a one mile hike/rock climb up to this waterfall. It was lots of fun and the kids did pretty good, unfortunately when we went to take this picture there was boy with his little dog that came right by us and completely distracted the girls. Oh well.
Max and Lucas with their pencil light sabers.
Ellie, Payton, Max. Lucas and Kate.
These two pictures were taken a few weeks ago. Neil and Max went with our friend, Gin, to the Nascar time trials and so I took the girls to check out Seigfried and Roy's Secret Garden. The girls LOVED the dolphins, they enjoyed looking at the animals too but not near as much as Max loved the zoo at that age. He could sit and watch a giraffe stand and do nothing forever, but after about 3o seconds in front of an animal the girls would say "all done" and be ready to move on. We had a good time though.

McKee Ranch

So who would have thought that there would be this little ranch with animals and everything right in the middle of Las Vegas behind a big casino?!? This was actually almost a month ago, but I had to post this picture! The kids had fun "driving" this old wagon.
Max was very leery of the big horses and didn't want to get too close. I made him take this picture but he couldn't look at the camera because he would have had to take his eyes off the horse! Needless to say, Max was unable to feed the big horses.
But he did muster the courage to feed this little guy!

Happy Valentine's Day to me!

This year my present was a day with no kids! Not a very romantic Valentine's Day, but really great! I went to see the Valentine's Day movie with our friend, Gin, and then went to the Temple by myself that night. Neil, took the kids up to Red Rock ALL BY HIMSELF. They spent several hours up there with no lunch and only a few snacks! Even when I was home, the girls were taking a nap! Good job Neil!

"Who's Your Paddy?"

It was my birthday last week and Neil got me this shirt...it say's "Who's Your Paddy?" For some reason it is very funny to him and he was really proud of it!
Neil also got me a new camera. It's a little one with 10.1 megapixels, which is a big upgrade from our old 4 mp camera that never seemed to get a clear picture! Here are a few pics from the new camera!
I love this picture because of how Ellie is looking at Payton. I don't have very many mental pictures of them being happy, nice and loving with each other...I mostly think of them hitting, biting and pushing each other. So I'm glad I have this actual picture to remind me that they do love each other...sometimes.
We went to the Bass Pro Shops
Payton
It's been raining here a lot the last week or so, here's Max in his "rain clothes" getting soaked!
This is Ellie with her bubble bath beard! The girls are finally talking more and can say about anything now although most of the time they still like to just scream at me. But they both love to say "bubble bath".
