San Francisco

In mid-November we spent a week in San Francisco. Neil had a two day conference, so we packed up the van to make the 9 hour drive and it was so worth it! Payton and Ellie had never been and Max hasn't been since before the girls were born and of course, they loved it. Neil and I had a great time too, as evidenced by the almost 800 pictures that we took (although, you wouldn't know it from this post as photos are not uploading well and I'm too impatient, so one's all you get for now). Here are the highlights:

We stopped overnight in Yosemite on the way and loved seeing the fall colors,

My sister, Patrice, lives in the city and the kids loved staying and playing with her,

We went to Santa Cruz boardwalk and beach,

We went to Fisherman's Wharf where we saw the sea lions, ate clam chowder, fed the birds our left over bread, saw the Gold Man, Silver Man and the "World Famous Bush Man",

We went to the Oakland Temple and took oodles of pictures,

Had a great time visiting Auntie Carolyn and Uncle Ken,

Went over the Golden Gate Bridge and took about 50 pictures,

Neil and Max took a tour of the home of the World Series Champions, the SF Giants, where Max was given a baseball right out of the batting cages that had been practiced with in the World Series. When we got back that night, he promptly wrote "Major League Baseball" on it with a sharpie. Gotta love that kid!

We had a great day at the San Francisco Zoo, went to the Jelly Belly Factory and two children's museums! Whew!
